Koru is a stunning, two-bedroom holiday property in Glororum, Northumberland, one mile from the picturesque village of Bamburgh and beautiful local beaches. Relax and unwind in the upstairs living area enjoying spectacular views of Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands or dine outside on the glazed balcony at the back, watching the sun set over the rolling countryside and the Cheviot Hills.
The cottage sleeps up to four people with two good sized bedrooms downstairs, one with twin beds or a
super-king and the other with a kingsize bed - perfect for one or two couples, or a small family. Sorry, but pets are not allowed. Koru is available for short and longer escapes to suit you, with changeover days typically Monday or Friday (although we have a seven night minimum stay in summer). If you are keen to stay at Koru, please use the secure online booking service or email us with
any questions.
The upstairs open plan living area has a kitchen, breakfast bar, dining area for up to ten people, lounge area and 'coffee zone'. The lounge has comfy sofas and foot rests, a log-effect gas fire, wall-mounted television, blu-ray player, bluetooth stereo, heaps of books and board games. All the seating is positioned to make the most of the views on each side of the cottage. For eating-in and rainy-day baking, the kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster, gas hob, an electric fan oven and cake-making equipment.
Opening from the living area at the back of the cottage is a spacious, west-facing, glazed balcony equipped with a four-seater rattan set, table and sun umbrella. Sit back and enjoy a glass of something while watching the migrating birds, beautiful sunsets and starry skies.

Downstairs are the two bedrooms - the front one looks towards the castle and comes with a king-size, sleigh-style bed and the rear bedroom can be made up with either a super-king bed or twin beds. We also have a travel cot and stair gates available for little ones.
Downstairs at the back is a sunny, enclosed garden and patio. There is patio furniture for four and the lockable garden cupboard has some games, barbeque, sand/snow sledges, beach wind breaks, picnic blankets and a sun umbrella - perfect for a lazy afternoon. The large cupboard fits two or more bikes and other equipment.
At the front of the cottage there is a gated, private parking area for two cars (and a visitor's space just nearby) and two chairs for watching the sun rise over the castle with a morning cup of coffee.
